Southeast Regional Science & Engineering Fair

A Regeneron ISEF affiliated science competition inviting students to present their original research to compete for scholarships, prizes, and advancement to further competitions

The 2024 SERSEF was held on Monday, March 11th, 2024 at the FARGODOME in Fargo, ND.

 Who Can Participate?

North Dakota students from the following counties can participate in one of three divisions for prizes and/or advancement: Barnes, Cass, Dickey, Eddy, Foster, Griggs, Kidder, LaMoure, Logan, McIntosh, Ransom, Richland, Sargent, Steele, Stutsman, and Wells Counties.

Junior Division

6th - 8th grade students can compete in the ND SERSEF Junior Division Individually or as part of a team!

Competitors have the opportunity to advance to the North Dakota State Science and Engineering Fair and the Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challeng.

Senior Division

9th - 12th grade students can compete INDIVIDUALLY ONLY in the ND SERSEF Senior Division!

Competitors have the opportunity to advance to the North Dakota State Science and Engineering Fair and Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair.

Elementary Science Fair

Students in grades K-5 can explore science in the ND SERSEF Elementary Science Fair!
Elementary Students have a different competition style than the 6th-12th graders.

 Competition Style

Students competing in the ND SERSEF can present their own STEM research, and are encouraged to explore their ideas in all fields of STEM!

to Showcase Your Research


4) Present Your Research at SERSEF!
